Hi there, I am hoping someone will be able to give me some advice regarding a recent letter I have received from a company threatening to take legal proceedings on me due to a thread that was closed on my forums almost 2 years ago (a thread in which one of the owners participated in). They are claiming that searching their company name via google now brings up the results and is thus causing them damage.

The thread was eventually closed as all that could be constructively said was said. In the end, he is trying to get me to 'censor' users views and opinions as it could be damaging to his business. I have a strong moral objection to censoring peoples opinions but I also have a strong objection to being brought into another legal battle that only ends up costing me a lot of money (previous issue was not related to libel but still cost me a small fortune with nothing gained except a paper 'victory' and a huge legal bill).

Could anyone help me understand if:
A- I am accountable for censoring peoples opinions on a business (i.e. could Universal sue Ebert because he said their movie sucked?)
B- Where is the line between opinion and libel?
C- Is it worth pursuing and standing up for yourself or should one just roll over when someone threatens you?

If you would like to view the thread, it is located here: http://www.thenailgeek.com/main/5401-e-nails.html?
The user name for the individual representing the company in the thread is 'Gordon Rice'.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

What state is the hardware/connection located in?
