threat of personal harm/injury

I am a board member for a public use facility. At a recent meeting I made inquires as to why a refunding contract was submitted over 4 months after the due date and end of contract (compromising $100,000). After the meeting, the president of the board threatened me with personal harm for "public embarassessment". The individual is a professional martial artist. As any one can make a mistake, I have offered two opportunities in writing for him to retract the threats and provide assurance he means me no harm. He maintains a formal position of arrogance. I am truly concerned for my safety. I am at the point of feeling like I should do something to legally protect myself.

What should I do??
1. I am considering filing a police report
2. I am considering a peace bond or restraining order or such
3. My paricipation on the board is filled with anxiety

Do numbers 1 and 2.

What does number 3 have to do with "What should I do?" From a non-legal standpoint, if you're feeling "anxiety", you should see a "shrink". Then, from a legal standpoint, you can use those damages (the reports and bills) in a potential lawsuit for "Assault" - - assuming of course whether or not you can even prove the statement was made at all.
