Our neighbors kids play basketball in the street which is ok with us, but when we need to drive by to get to our house they give us these threatening looks and shoot a couple more shots. My wife talked to the mother of the kids and her reply is that she pays taxes and they should be able to play in the street. When I got home to my upset wife I foolishly called the police and got the scoop on who had the right of way. Cars do. The police came by and talked to me briefly and then went to the neighbors house. Then the harrasment started. One of the kids called my son a faggot and the father has made some threatening comments. They glare at us and honk there horns. Both parents are angry and act like their children. We try not to make eye contact and ignore their comments as best we can. I have heart disease and my wife has Multiple Sclerosis and we don't need the stress. I wish I had not called the police at this point. What can we do about this bully family if anything? Can the police do anything about the harassment? Any help or suggestion needed. Thanks

it doesn't sound like enough for a restraining order or a suit for harassment.
Also, if you contact an attorney, and start proceedings, it might enrage them more.
