I'm 17, had my license for about a year, was driving at night, not speeding or anything. I stopped at a red light, looked both ways, no one was coming at all. I turned right, and a second later a cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket for turning right on a red where prohibited. Apparently there were 3 quite visible signs for no turning on red, and I just did not see them. If this ticket goes through as a moving violation, my insurance skyrockets, and I will not be able to afford it. What can I do to at least get it down from a moving violation? I called the courthouse I was assigned to and they said traffic school is not an option in MI. What can i do?! Please email at [email protected] thanks
