What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? SC

last weekend i was going down a highway (3 lanes each way) posted at 60 mph at a speed of around 67. around the 3 mile of this highway the left 2 most lanes end and the right one goes into a ramp down onto another highway

I passed a sign that said ( up ahead 40 mph) at this point i had a car behind me and infront of me to my right, right after i passed the warning sign and the cop pulled out from the unfinished lane to come after us. (the area is still 60mph at this point)

shortly after the warning sign was a sign that said 40mph and i passed it at about 57. when i hit the ramp the cop was behind the car behind me and flashed his lights to pass by him and ride my ass. i went down the ramp at about 37 and pulled over.

he ticketed me at 70 in a 40mph zone. My concern is that he clocked me in the 60mph zone when he pulled out after me and just carried it over to the 40mph zone and put it on my ticket since he let his little hidden area after i passed the warning sign and had to go down the road and turn around ( he couldnt see my till he was behind me after he left his little area). This is my first ticket in all of my driving career and 6 points on a 12 point scale is going to be insane.

I plan to plead not guilty but im not sure my defense of speeding going 67 in a 60 will help me much. But that would be 2 points instead of 6. Suggestions?

btw code: 56-5-1520

thank you for replying so fast, all the ticket lists is the road and the mile marker which is actually before the warning sign.
