What is the name of your state? California

I failed to turn in timecards / timesheets for a very long time at my freelance gig, and no one noticed. I didn't worry too much about it. There is recorded proof and a paper trail of the days I worked. No one has denied I will be paid. But before I go further, I want to know: Is there a statute of limitations to turn in timecards in California?

No. There is no SOL for turning in timesheets, if by that you mean, after x amount of time do they not have to pay you.

However, if you do not turn your timesheets in on time, you can be disciplined however the employer sees fit, up to and including termination. They have to pay you for all the time you worked, but you are not immune from other forms of discipline.
