What is the name of your state? FL

I have a friend who was arrested 31 days ago for "grand theft in the 3rd degree and uttering a forged document."

He was brought before a judge and given a bond. he posted bond and has since been arrested for a completly unrelated charge. He presently is sitting in the local jail and has heard very little. He has not been assigned a public defender as far as he knows. he has been given no information as to the status of the first charge of "grand theft in the 3rd degree and uttering a forged document.".

Can somebody tell me if there is a timeline in which formal charges need to be filed or certain action has to be taken by the courts. It has been 31 days since his arrest and he has heard nothing at all.

Any information would be helpfull.

Thank YOu
