In Maine...

Once an arrest warrant is issued by the court are the various law enforcement agencies required to act on it immediately? Or, can they delay making the arrest until after the banks are closed so bail money is impossible to obtain thereby insuring the individual spends time in jail?

In a domestic abuse situation, if an affidavit requesting an arrest warrant is presented to the court on a Tuesday, wouldn't one expect a warrant to be issued that same day rather than the following Friday?

thanks
