What is the name of your state? CALIFORNIA

Are there statutory guidelines for California law schools regarding the timely reporting of students' grades?

Our last Fall midterm was Dec. 15, 2006.

We began the Spring semester on Jan. 16, 2007 and still have not received our grades.

Please reply with pertinent CALIFORNIA law or guidelines (CA Education Code or Bureau of Private, Post-Secondary and Vocational Education regulations).

Thank you.

Thanks for nothing.

Do you seriously think I have not?

Well, Mr./Ms. Law Student, can you think of any facts which you didn't include which may be relevant to finding out the issue(s)?

If it's anything like my law school, you'll be lucky if they get the grades to the state on time so you can take the Bar.

I can think of many things OP didn't include that would have been helpful but we are supposed to read minds and do his work for him.

If this question is indicative of how you answered your law school exam questions, then you really might want to take this time and enjoy it before getting your grades, because I don't think you will be pleasantly surprised when they are finally published.

If there is an illegal thing going on as to why you haven't gotten grades yet, it's probably useless to ask the school district office for policy on grading issues.
I don't think there is a law mandating schools to honor any kind of requests from parents. At least, schools don't act like there are.
You can probably call your state dept. of education and ask for this. You can tell them to send you a copy of the state laws for grading and they should send it to you.
This is part of what they are there for.
If you find out the school is not following their own laws and policies, you can probably take further action, but I"m not sure what that would be.
Have you contacted the school district superintendent?

Please reread the original post. The OP is in LAW SCHOOL! Law schools do not have superintendents and are not part of school districts.

You're an idiot.

There is absolutely no relationship between the question I asked and my law school exam performance.
