my mum bought a townhome back in 2000, and since she had cancer, she wanted the vasting to be joint tenancy with my name. However, once we recv'd the grand deed, we found out that the title company wrongly spelled my mum's name, so we therefore asked the title company to make a name correction. On the new grand deed, it stated "Name Correction Only" on it; however, years later after my mum passed away, I wanna change the grand deed to my name only, then we found out for some reason the title company made another serious mistake by changing the vasting from joint tenancy to tenancy in common while they made the name correction. However, both my mum and I didn't realize that mistake at that time. Now, I been contacted with this title company for months, and they just treated me like a fool by complaining me all the time instead of realizing their mistake. And they refused to be responsible to make the correction for the vasting. I wanna know what are my rights in this case and whether the title company should still be responsible for my grand deed.
