We are buying a house in Florida. The title is going to held in 3 names: both my husband and myself will own 25% each and my uncle will hold 50%. The title is being recorded in 3 of our names but not ownership persentage is mentioned anywhere. The title company person says this is their policy and their standard form doesn't contain the ownership persentage specification, just the names. What should we do? Should we insist on them including the persentage in the title?

Q: What should we do?

A: Fire that title company and hire a lawyer who knows real estate law. If it is not in writing, then it doesn't exist.
