In TN, how long after a foreclosure sale is completed does a lender have to get a deficiency judgment from a court? In our case, the foreclosure sale was completed almost 14 months ago, the lender (who bought the property at the foreclosure sale) sold the house at least 6 months ago, and we have heard nothing from the lender.

The lender was Wells Fargo. Anyone know whether they are pursuing deficiency judgments (in general, or in TN specifically) and how long it takes them to get around to it these days?

We are trying to figure out whether we are off the hook, or whether we should continue to wait for the other shoe to drop.

Thanks
