You have a choice not to live in a slum, YOU did not have to rent that place, you did not inspect the place very well before moving in, so why did you?

And whats your problem anyway the landlord wants to evict you, and if you were even a little bit smart,and had a decent job, you would have plenty of money to move by now.

You ask for advice, and maybe the best advice is stop being a country girl.

bjbj, the reason that we moved into this place in the first place is that we had a fire in our apt. and were out of a place to live. having all kinds of stuff to replace we took a place with lower rent. i just dont think that any one should expect people to pay rent and be treated this way. i wouldnt do it to anyone else.second, i do have a good job, i am in business for myself cant get better than that are u in business for yourself? i just think that u can give advise to people without insulting them that is not why people use this site.

OH so now you are telling me you... DID NOT HAVE RENTERS INSURANCE .....

Unbeliveable.......here in the expensive BIG APPLE i pay $228 a YEAR, $19 a month....

BJBJ SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO LEARN BY OUR MISTAKES AND THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE NOW I HAVE RENTERS INS AND WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT INS AGAIN LOL TO CHEAP NOT TO HAVE IT AND TO EXPENSIVE NOT TO HAVE IT!!!!!!!!!I NOW I TELL EVERYONE THAT I KNOW ABOUT GETTING IT

BUT here is something you might not know......

ONLY Travellers Insurance company does not discriminate against your lifestyle.

If you look closely at what is covered, everything is inside your walls is treated equally.....

THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT if you have $10,000 in compact disc versus $10,000 in Broyhill furniture....

Most polices wont cover more then $1000 or $2500 for cd's or computers,or LP records... even though i have $44,000 in total contents coverage.

And most renters insurance DO NOT cover floods from the outside, only if the roof caves in the water heater breaks, pipes in the building break, sprinklers go on etc, but not rivers... thats ok i live on the second floor
