Not sure why homenom's thread was closed...

Counseling for your son is the best thing you could do for him. Just as the other poster's have stated. If what you have stated is true and there are actual concerns of the gp visits being harmful for your child, please seek counseling for him and be certain the therapist will be willing to submit her/his findings and/or testify in court. From what I have heard along the way, some therapists will not submit info. or testify in court and sometimes will have a parent sign off on this prior to taking the child on as a client. This type of waiver could and is sometimes in very small print that can be easily overlooked when thinking you are signing a standard "new patient" form. Please, OP, get your son into counseling and be certain the therapist is aware of your situation and will be willing to be forthcoming in court if so needed. I do have first hand knowledge of how abusive controlling types can have a devastating effect on a child along with how a controlling person w/a court order can manipulate that child, even if they only see the child a couple of times as month. Good luck to you and yours. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
