I just wanted to update you on my officer that was struck head-on while on duty by a speeding drunk driver. He is not going to lose one of his legs, but the other is still in question. He won't know until June 3rd if it is beginning to mend. The last x-ray showed that the muscles were not knitting or whatever the term is called, and that the bone replacement was not healing. He received a call from the President and letters from several celebrities. He's a real quiet Christian guy and all the attention has kind of stunned him. He said he justs wants to come back to work.
The man who hit him has stated several times that if he gets out, he will do it again.
