Thank you. In this Florida comp case I Won. The judge allowed me a 35000.00 court award.Or 102 weeks. Attorney claims he has invested many many hours in this case. Prior to winning case in court durring one of the mediations he said he had so many extra hours invested that his fees and costs would not leave much for me. Is his fee pre set by going to court, or can he charge me whatever he likes?

My response:
The percentage is set by statute, and your attorney will submit his costs to the judge for approval. Ask for the statutory fee percentage, and you can pretty much figure what the attorney's fees will be. The only unknown are the costs. The court could award him extra fees for any "extraordinary" work required of him to perform.
