PapaSmurf, Thank you so much for the words of encouragement(i think, that's what it was?) The beer? That was honest! I couldn't take anymore that week. I have taken the advice I have recieved here (which has been wonderful) I have backed off to just enjoy, stress free, until I'm up to it again. But I will NOT back down. My daughter deserves what "should have been her's" No doubt! She has worked since she was 13 yrs. old because "she" wanted to..And for someone to take her summer away from her and the insurance to offer her half of that with no other compensation I think is way wrong. She deserves more. She was only going bowling with some friends (not to a party or anything else) She is a wonderful daughter, were not looking to get rich, were just looking out for her best interest, and she wants to "kill" the guy that hit her j/k but she does feel like she is due something. Luckilly she has a wonderful Grama and Papa who let her slide on her car payments knowing she couldn't work and would make them up to them. I do have to say, that bothered her alot, she wanted to pay them off when she was able and now it has been pushed back about a year and by now it should have been paid back. Sometimes she has 3 jobs at a time. Because she wants to.
So sorry that I took so long to answer your reply, I am on a "borrowed computer" Our e-mail computer took a s--t! Things have NOT been going our way, which is another reason I have waited to pursue anything(i am hoping our luck will change, it's been real bad)But, I do have confidence that it will change and then we will go for the "gusto" what-ever that may be???? Go ahead, ask a teenager what she feels is due her and she will tell you "the world". We do try to keep her "down to earth". And she does now know this could go all the way from the bare minimmum to ??. I just have to keep telling myself she was not at fault and didn't/doesn't deserve the set back.
I must tell you, one of the main reasons I responded back was the "papa smurf, name" It caught me, when she was born they were popular and the only thing that fit her was a shirt for a stuffed smurf, which we actually just pulled out of a bag this evening that we all laughed at 'cuz it was so little. I must now close this and say thank you again so much. Hopefully, We will end this on a happy note and I can write back with a "big Thank You"
