What is the name of your state? Australia
I’m sorry I didn’t see your post earlier. I know you may not see this but for the sake of other readers I will comment.
You seem to be saying the woman you trusted has been telling true stories about you. If the stories are true, they are not defamatory.
What you would have is a very strong case for Invasion of Privacy. Unfortunately, unless the defendant has money, it could cost you more to pursue the claim than she will be able to pay. You could win your suit but lose money on the whole thing.
“In Australia they just knock down a couple of Fosters and laugh about stuff like this.”
The above statement made by another poster, could not be further from the truth. Australia happens to take defamation very seriously. In fact, Australia has been home to many of the biggest defamation cases in recent history. They would take Invasion of Privacy just as seriously. Australians are not amused by this type of behavior.
