What is the name of your state?CA

To the attorney who answered my question about miscalculation in support ,
I have not had an increase in income. Ive had to borrow 68 grand off my properties. I'm 65 years old on social security. Read my other post, please.
I tried to e-mail you. She is a nasty customer. A bad mistake going worse.

Support miscalcuation

I'm totally unknowing of how this works. I believe I confessed to being new.
I attempted an e-mail, but was thwarted. The net income of 12,000 was incorrectly placed in the monthly column. 12,000 is my yearly income. It's obvious that I do not make 12,000 a month. I have taken out 60,000 in mortgages to pay for this "mistake" I made. No one will listen to me when I tell them I don't make that kind of money and this women, who has told them differently, has obviously fed them a line of BS.

Is this justice?

At the top and bottom of the thread when you read it, there are Post Reply buttons. Click on one of them and you will get a posting box to reply w/in the thread - apparently you figured that out by replying here. It would be best if you copied what you've posted here and pasted it in your original thread. Otherwise, things are all over the place and most people will not take the time to search out all of the information.

Also, it would be helpful to know how your Net & Gross vary so much as to cause such a disparity in support calculations.

I wasn't sure how to go about this. I am doing this for a friend. I don't believe he is getting sage advice on this matter. His income was reported at 12,000 per month instead of 12,000 per year. It has drained him of some 60,000 dollars to keep up. He has done this by getting mortgages on his property.
He has a hearing for modification soon. Surely a mistake of this magnatude would have caught someones attention at the DA's office. Can you overpay
child support? Get a refund? Sue her for overpayment. Ask for an explantion from DA how this happened? Thanks for anything you can let me know.

He should have filed for a modification a long time ago. Its going to be difficult to convince the courts that this has been an error all along....but he needs to gather together all of his financial documentation, including his tax returns. (if he files)

 you mean there are people who don't??? gasp! I'm shocked

LOL The sad thing about this though is that it happens everyday. People get laid off from a job and rather then file for a modification when they get a different lower paying job or whatever, they just assume that either A. You can't get blood from a turnip or B. the state can only take so much. The latter is true but they don't realize the arrears add up and they add up fast!
