hi guys
i recently signed a lease. and was advised by the
landlord that there may be some noise heard in my
apartment since the apartment is located above a
bar. before signing the lease i went to inspect
the noise level and it was tolerable. i figured a
juke box is ok. right, wrong the floor is so thin
i feel i am in the bar. i can hear the conversations
going on down stairs, it is impossible to sleep.
the day i checked the noise level must of been a day
he had the music on low. so i am sleepless in ny till
about 3:30 am. not to mention he said (landlord) that he
operates fri-sat. he really opens wed-sat.
quest.#1 is he responsible for soud proofing his bar or my bedroom at least?
quest.#2 as a bar is he supposed to have the music up so loud. i dont know if he is registered as a bar or nightclub?
quest.#3 is he or i responsible for the soud proofing cost?
quest.#4 can i get out of this lease? though he warned me before time?
