My freind bit into an appetizer at a Thai restaurant and there was a metal bolt in it that broke her crown necessitating costly reconstruction that she can't afford. She wants to know what the legal outlook is and if she should get an attorney. The Thai restaurant is being less than helpful in helping her pay for reconstruction and the doctor requires up-front payment which the restaurant is not agreeing to pay but is signalling they will pay some amount.

She needs to pay an attorney to draft a tersely worded letter to the restaurant asking for their liability insurance information. If that doesn't work, she should sue the business in small claims court.
