You got good advice. Here's more.

You're going to think I'm being mean, but I'm seriously trying to help you.

RUN NOW. Don't look back, don't convince yourself that he's an innocent victim of one more psycho woman. Just don't fall for it.

I know you love him. I even know he'd never hurt you. I know he's a GREAT dad, and only wants what's best for his child.

I also know that 1) You don't know him well at all. 2) He's living with you and your parents - which doesn't exactly indicate stability on his part. 3) You know NOTHING about his financial situation even though he's living with you, which indicates TO ME that you're afraid to discuss this with him. 4) He won't let you near the ex because she's 'violent' and yet HE is the one in 'classes' after a DV CONVICTION.

I could go through your post and outline everything that doesn't add up, but you'll kill the messenger and not pay any attention to the content.

Run girl. Fast as your legs can carry you.

Legal advice - nothing you mentioned is going to help dad. End of story.
