towel baked into my bread

I was eating toast the day before thanksgiving and after eating 2 pieces i went to get more as i was putting them in the toaster i saw something like dried bread. so i threw them away and grabbed 2 more. to my surprise there was more stuff on these pieces of bread. i took the two out of the garbage and put them back togethere with the rest of the loaf. it appears to be a paper towel or something baked into the bread. Ever since that day i felt sick and had a sore throat.
What is the law on contaminated products and what are my rights? I'm truely disgusted, but don't know if the bread made me sick or not. What should I do.
Any help is appreciated. I emailed the company but they haven't replied to my email in over 4 days. I can understand with the holiday but it' now monday and they should have seen it by now.
