What is the name of your state? Ohio

This is just a general question. If I was to pay for a bill with a money order, how can I go about to tracking it down to proof I paid in case the company says that I didn't pay the bill? I know that there is a way but I just don't know what the procedure is.

I thought money orders have the tracking number on the stub. Did you keep the stub?

My response:

It's my favorite Black sweetheart, Ms. Pritchett!!

Once you've had Black, you'll never go back!

"Money Order Question"

In Reply to your general MO question. If you made a MO payable to another person, you would have to go to the Bank or Financial Institution that the MO was obtained. Same goes if you made the MO payable to a Company to pay a bill. It would make it easier if you have the MO Tracking number (the long 8-12 digit number at the bottom of the Mo). If you don't have the number it makes it more difficult, very time consuming. It can be done though. Just like a Cancelled Bank check, you will receive front and back of Mo. The back will be endorsed and stamped as deposited or paid and an account number of the depositee will be stamped also (for verification and tracing purposes)...Usually stored on Microfilm for six years.... Hope this helps....
