I previously sought your advice regarding a verbal agreement that my brother made with a friend regarding a line of credit he loaned this friend. Your reply stated that he had a chance of recovering this debt in court if he knew which bank his friend banked. By knowing this, the cancelled checks could be obtained by subpoena. My brother has discovered that his friend used money orders to pay the credit card company. What approach, if any, can be used in this case?
