What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas-Going to make this long story as short as I can.
I graduated from a trade school 3 months early. I believed that getting out 3 months
Early I would reduce the amount I would owe since the final 3 months were not used.
The loan company told me that they pay the total amount no matter when I got out
of school.

I have gone back and fourth with the school asking where the final 3 months of money
Has gone or will go to. When I was a few days from graduation the financial aid woman
Told me that I would be receiving 4800 back I took this to mean I would be able to take
The check for that amount and send back to the loan office. Later the same day they told
Me they looked at it wrong and owe me nothing.

I have asked repeatedly for a clear and detailed report on where all my funding has gone.
After many emails they claimed to owe me 30.00. I have talked to my loan office who said the
School requested money after my graduation and they paid it.
Everyone at the loan office that I have talked to said the payments look off but they
Are unsure how the school request payments. Even still there are 3 months of money they
Cannot just keep.
They have stopped answering my emails and request for detailed info when it comes to my
Loan. I have reported them to the education board. I also reported them to T.D.L.R. I found
Out the school had to pay a million dollar fine to the state for staff members selling hours
In addition, taking funding money for students and keeping it. I didn’t find out the last half until
I started looking into why they will not give me a report.

I tried to make it short. Sorry.

Do I need to seek a lawyer or am I wrong? If I am wrong about this then I will gladly apologize
And move on.

Thanks to any responders.

Your tuition is based on the classes you take not how many weeks you are in school. How did you finish early did you skip classes?

It's possible that the trade school is set up in such a way that, if one attends more classes, one can finish earlier. I have a friend who did this with whatever hair school she went to - They had the standard schedule, but one could take more or less classes in any given week, which would in turn affect the graduation date. But... I don't believe that affects the tuition - you pay for the classes you take, not for the number of weeks you're there.
