quick question. I have a domain name that is, for example: ePepsi.com. Obviously Pepsi.com is trademarked so would ePepsi.com be in violation?

you will find out if and when lawyers for "Pepsi" send you a ceast and desist letter and then decide to sue you for trademark infringement.

you may decide to spend the money and let the court decide , or you may decide its not worth the money.

also- be aware that "Pepsi" can appeal to ICANN and dispute your use of the domain name, it only costs about $1100 and if ICANN decides in their favor, the domain name is yanked from you and transferred to "Pepsi".

eBay does this with any domain with "eBay" in it.
Apple does this with any domain with "iPod" in it.
Toys "R" Us does this with any domain with "R Us" in it.

They are obligated to protect their trademark and spend a lot of time and money doing so.

thats what i was afraid of. I recently heard of Myspace doing the same if any part of "myspace" is in the domain name.
Thanks...time to start thinking of a new domain name...
