What is the name of your state? MAryland

Awhile back i got two tickets while I was parked in a local community park. One ticket was for having expired tags, and the other is for driving without a license.

Now I had no ides a bout the tag thing because i am a first time driver and my parents did not tell me about it.
I am also 18 but i just havent received my provissionlas or license yet.
I want to know should i just pay it or go to court?
Its $570
I cant afford that and my parents dont know

If you're able to just pay, that's what I would do.

its 570 dollars im a little short on cash plus my parents dont know
They will. Especially when they get their insurance renewal. As part of your driving class they should have taught you that, before you drive someone's vehicle, you make sure that everything is A-okay. For example, if the insurance lapsed on the vehicle, and you caused an at fault accident, you will still be responsible although you didn't know that the insurance had lapsed.

Does the ticket even allow you to not show up to court?
Why haven't you told your parents?

A *licensed* driver is supposed to know these things...

You are an adult - you need to make some adult decisions.

I would rather go to prison than tell my parents and it gives me the option to go to court or just pay it.

Well they're going to find out eventually.

If you want a chance of getting out of the expired tags ticket, then have your parents get new tags for the car and then take proof of that when going to court. Its not guaranteed to make a difference, but its your only chance of any mercy from the judge.

Pay the other ticket ahead of time - you don't seems ot have any defense of that.
