What is the name of your state?Massachusetts
I have an expired fed tax lien filed in 1994 in Florida. 2 out of three credit bureaus have taken this off my credit report. Trans Union says they can leave this on indefinately depending what state I live in , which is now MA.
Any way to have them remove this, as it almost 11 years old ?

It can stay on there as long as its valid and as long as its unpaid and its legal !
If the lien is truly expired, then you need something to prove that or you need something from the IRS releasing the lien before you'll ever get it removed.

Thank you for your response. Am I correct in thinking each of the 3 credit bureaus have different criteria for removing entrees ?

Sure do. I know of someone where one credit bureau was still showing a VACATED judgement as an "open judgement" because there wasn't any release of record!
