I have asked my life insurance company to sent me a statement showing all transactions that have been done on my account. It doubles an an investment account. They said that they have to charge me $50 to do this. I have never received any statements telling me the interest I've received or anything. Are they allowed to withhold this information unless I pay for it?

Thanks florida

Sounds a little strange. Okay, how about this. Check ALL paperwork, especially the original agreement to see what it says about ordering such information, if any charges would be assessed.

If there is a charge to be assessed, they need to charge against your account and send you the paperwork.

Otherise, contact the better business bureau in your area and your State insurance commissioner.
