Currently, I have custody of my two children in California. The ex lost temporary custody due to child endangerment and drug charges in Ohio. Our final judgement from the courts was filed in Florida in 2004, I would like to reopen the case in California who says we need to transfer the previous case from Florida to California. When requesting Florida to do this, they did not. How would I legally obtain the file to transfer to California so I can file for permanent custody of my children? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
