What is the name of your state? California. Mom on SDI/SSI with Medi-Cal for many years after work accident (20+). She is now 70 and it is no longer safe for her to live alone. She put my name on the house several years ago in case something happened to her. I also have POA, but she is still pretty alert. I cannot afford a retirement home for her unless I sell the house. Can I transfer the home completely into my name and take her name off and then sell the house? What are the implications with Medi-Cal? I do not want to jeapardize her eligibility. I have heard this may be O.K. to do and just wanted to make sure. Any help is appreciated!
