I agree with racer72 - you bought the warranty for exactly this reason and that is exactly what whoever sold you the car is going to say too. So take the car into a reputable dealership (check your extended warranty may require you to go to a repair shop within a certain distance of the city you bought your car in or the selling dealer). When you take the vehicle in to be repaired, make sure you tell them you have a warranty and provide them with a photocopy of it (that way they don't lose or get greasy the original) They will diagnose the concern(s) you have, call the contract company to determine coverage on the failed part(s), then insist they contact you prior to actually beginning the repairs so that you know approx what the cost will be to you - some repairs may not be covered and you may beresponsible for them in addition to yuor deductible amount. Also, they may need for you to authorize tear down of the transmission prior to calling the warranty company, and then the warranty company may want to send an adjuster to determine the cause of failure. Keep in mind that if the transmission was low on fluid or if the warranty company determines that neglect or abuse was the cause of failure, you will be responsible for the entire repair cost. good luck.
