New York- I wanted to know that whether I, a resident of New Jersey, could get compensation for traveling fees to work at an internship at New York. It costs me about fifteen dollars a day and it takes me two hours to get there. I heard from someone that it is a law to pay for the transportation of an intern and I would like to know whether that is true.

If such a law does exist, mandating that internships also require transportation compensation, then could you provide some legal proof to show my boss? Thank you very much.
