I am in Maine and after going through mediation without a lawyer have come to the conclusion that if I share half of the the transportation that I will be out of a job because it would interfeer with my work hours. The father is moving two hours away and demanded that i split transportation. i am on tanif and participate in the pas program. do i not have to split transportation?

Whatever you agreed upon in the mediation meeting is what goes into the order. So if you agreed to split the transportation, that's what you'll have to do. If you didn't agree upon anything, the judge will decide. You could certainly tell him/her about your job situation.

You mentioned you went to mediation without an attorney...I think that's the way it's supposed to be. We were not allowed to have attorneys present at our mediation session.

he had his lawyer present durring mediation, I just couldn't afford it. He knows my job situation but insists that I have to help with transportation. i was told by someone that because i ame on tanif that there shouldn't have ben any order on split transportation because it takes money away that would be for my kids not car.
