Large tree on my property drops sap on neighbors car/drivway.
Am I legaly responsible to remidy the situation? ie: cut down tree or build him a car port.

I'm sorry that you have this happening. I would think that if it is on your land than it's yours. The guy could park somewhere else. I think some people are natural born complainers...Good luck!

My response:

Perhaps Missy Eha wants to park "her" car there . . . but seriously, from a legal standpoint, and not an "Eha" standpoint, that portion of the tree that hangs over the property line belongs to your neighbor and, as such, can be cut back up to his property line. If he allows the tree to remain as it is, then it is your neighbor who must, by law, take responsibility for the damages to his own property. Your neighbor has a duty to mitigate his own damages.
