i live in ky. i am providing care for my son who is with me at this time, but also stays with his mother some in wisconsin. legally, i have no rights because the mother won't give consent for me to take a dna test to prove paternity. i have provided sole care for 50% of the time and while he is with his mother is sent money to support him. who do i go about getting a dna test done without her consent when she is in milwalkee and i am in kentucky? help me please.

You can file in court to establish paternity, you do not need the mothers consent. VERY IMPORTANT... document and keep receipts of all the child support you send and when the child is with you. You can go to court and file for joint custody once paternity is established, but it is very important to have proof of the payments you made. She will most likely file for child support and will get as much back support as the state will allow her. If you have proof in court that you have been paying already, she won't get the back support.
