What is the name of your state? Kentucky
I work in a hospital and received an e-mail from my team leader that seh received from another team leader. The e-mail stated their department had "been having some problems with me." He stated that my husband was an employee in his department and had some problems with some of his fellow co-workers, which he had. When you work in a hospital your concern is for the patient, not playing games (yatzee).
We had a patient that was having difficulty breathing and had to wait several minutes for a respiratory therapist to arrive. While waiting we reviewed the chart to see if we could give him anything other medication. We found there was nothing after looking, at which time I stated "well she'll have to give a the prn (as needed) treatment. I did not know the therapist was in the room at that time, until she stated she was going to give the treatment.
The e-mail from the other team leader stated that I have started to become invovled in the disagreement between my husband and his co-workers, my concern is for my patient's well-being. I have filed incident reports for treatments that were not done, or never started after being ordered for 12 hours. I feel it is my job an responsibility to look out for the well-being of my paitent's.
He also went on to say that I was (badging) entering into their department when no one else was there, this is not true because my badge does not work outside my department. Hospital security sets limits to who can enter where.
If this type of thing continues, is there anything I can do? Does it fall into this catagory?
