What is the name of your state, Illinios.

17 yrs old.

I recived a Truancy ticket at my highschool for not being in a 25 min class after lunch its a resource class insteed i stayed and had an extra lunch. I did this for about 2 weeks than i got a slip to go down to the deans and the dean had the school cop write me a truacny ticket. They said once im 17 i could not recive these but because i was 16 at the time i could the ticket was given around november 22cnd and due dec 2. I in the midst of my sisters engagement party, school work, work and out of school activites i forgot all about this ticket. I recived today in the mail a Notice of court date. The ticket itself is 50$ and i woulda have easly paid it but i just forgot all about it. What kind of punishment can the court give me for not paying this truancy and what can i do about this.
