Trust termination

A trust has been terminated. All assets have been distributed to the beneficiaries. The final form 1041 has been filed with the the box for "final return" checked. Is there anythng else that needs to be done to terminate the trust.

Depending on the nature of the trust and prior proceedings re the trust, you may need to file a final accounting and/or get the Surrogate's Court to issue an order closing the trust and discharging you.
