I live in Colorado Springs, CO. I am having an issue with my boss over hours.

My boss has dramatically cut my hours after I addressed him about an issue I had with him constantly making me stay an hour sometimes 3/4 hours over what he scheduled me to work. Since I had that conversation with him, My hours have gone from 16 plus hours a week to 4/6 hours a week. I was hired as a full time employee. When college started I asked to be set as part time. He was not happy with that. Then this happen and now I do not make enough money to pay my bills & survive. I have been so desperate for hours that I mentioned to EVERYONE that I needed hours and would fill any shifts I could. A couple opportunities have come up and other workers have asked me to fill shifts for them, but my boss would not allow me, saying I am not qualified.. Which was not true..

I have gone to HIS supervisor but she just brushed me off, saying that it was not her department. She's fed up with him and all the drama he creates. I am not the first person to have an issue with this particular boss. He has been brought up on violation charges & investigated before. I would like to keep my job but feel like this man is trying to make me quit.

Is it legal for my hours to be cut down to 4/6 hours a week when I am technically a part time worker? Is there anything I can do?

Thank You,
