What is the name of your state? WASHINGTON
I have been turned down twice by Soc.Sec. disability, I am receiving DSHS while waiting to have my appeal heard by a administrative law judge. DSHS has provided me with a lawyer for this but she hasn't even written or called in 5 months. Should I seek an outside lawyer and what are my chances with a lawyer versus myself. I have not been able to work because of crippling pain in my legs, Meralgia Paresthetica, I may be able to have surgery but it is questionable weather it will help at all. How long do I have to wait for a court date, I filed in May of 2005 Any help would be appreciated

What is DSHS?and what kind of atty. were you given?.For a SSDI case it is highly advisable to obtain an atty.whom is specialized in ssdi and who has done so with a good record formany years.SSDI is a very difficult program to try and deal with on your own,or with an atty.not specialized in the feild.Perhaps you can ask attys you may have done business with if they can recommend one.or your Dr.The law firm of Binder and Binder has been in business throughout the US for yrs. and have a good success rate.
