Two Easements?

Can the owner of a road give more than one easement for access? We gave our neighbor an easement to use our road, now another neighbor has moved in to a vacant house and would also like an easement - can we give two. This is not addressed in our easement agreement with the first neighbor. Seattle, Washington

The proper way to handle this situation is to have the existing easement changed so that it also covers neighbor #2. You will not have 2 easements but one, in favor of both neighbors.
