This case will be handled by a Washington, DC court. My daughter lives with her older sister who is in the process of filing for child support in DC. She will be filing for support payments from both me and the mother. My question concerns how the payments will be determined. I've used the child support calculator at Child Support Services Division which allows one to plug in a third party custodian but it doesn't allow for a filing against BOTH parents. When both parents will be paying child support, how does the court determine the amount to be paid by each? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Normally, each would pay the full amount that they would normally pay if they were paying the other parent. The two parents combined are supposed to provide 100% of the child's support.
