What is the name of your state? Ok, so you have free advice forum and Law Talk forum. Both these websites show as different sites and many people post simular or identical postings to get advice. Then they get slammed for posting identical issues. I know I have in the past So, who actually owns both these websites, and, how can you expect someone posting to know that these two sites are connected? Hmmmmm? Faith

I'm not sure who owns the forums, probably not the same person/entity. A lot of the regular posters here frequent more then one forum. I don't get why they come down on people for cross posting, unless the person posts on one, gets an answer they don't like, and THEN posts on another hoping to get a more favorable response. But it's not like it's a big deal either way, people get made fun of here for all sorts of reasons, some deserving and some not. But come on, it's just an internet bulletin board, it's not like it MATTERS for anything.

Faith, I post on half a dozen websites, not all of which have any kind of common ownership. However, when you post on multiple sites, it becomes clear when an individual is "shopping" for the most favorable answer. If the law is "xxx" on one website, it's not going to be "yyy" on another one. Either something is legal or it's not. In addition, if the law is "xxx" and someone tells you it's "yyy" because that's what you want to hear, it's not going to be "yyy" when you get into a courtroom. It's still going to be "xxx".

I have limited time to spend on these websites and it can be quite wearing having to wade through the same questions over and over. It's also a little insulting to have the question you already answered on one website asked again on another, like your answer didn't count.

I agree to a point CBG. But, sometimes the same questions are asked for a good reason. It's like getting another doctors opinion. They do say its best to get a second opinion. Its just strange that some responses back are this is a duplicate post. Thanks Faith
