I realize from reading some previous posts that you might tell me this is contract, not family, law, but I'm just not sure so here's the deal.
I left an abusive situation, we lived together for about 4 years (first 2 years in Colorado), during which I used my credit cards to pay for many things including occasional house payment, things for maintenance & upgrade of house, transferred lots of his debt onto my credit cards to get better interest rate, (to the tune of $35,000) none of which he ever offered to repay. I trusted him and assumed we would stay together long enough for it all to work out. Considering what I read about TX common law, I will probably not be able to successfully sue for divorce. Do I have any chance of suing him for help in paying off this debt? All I want is for him to pay at least 1/2. Otherwise, I will have to file bankruptcy as I cannot swing even the minimum payments.

Oh I almost forgot to mention, that ALL assets are in his name.
Yep there's one born every minute.
