Hello,
(In California)
I bought a house across the street from an elementary school six months ago. For the past three months, major construction has been going on, including paving over a portion of a large field (my view from the front) and installing portable buildings right up to the lot line. I support public schools but feel that very little planning or regard for the neighborhood went into this. The view across the street has changed drastically from pleasant to 'really ugly' and absolutely would not have bought the house had I known. I feel some sort of compensation is in order - even if it's in the form of some new landscaping to make the view a little less austere. Don't know how to go about it.
Thanks.
