oregon; hired an attorney to review some contracts when i sold my business. the payments was to be paid in installments however, the last installment was not paid because the company decided to close that division and they claimed they weren't obligated to pay based on how the contract read. i was certain they were wrong since the whole purpose of hiring an attorney was to protect us from defaulting on payment. after the attorney re-reviewed the contract, he came to the conclusion that there was a mutual mistake but charged me to review his very mistake. since i refused to pay the $450 fee (he costed me tens of thousands of dollars)he sent me to collections and now there is a negative mark on my perfect credit report. is there any way to dispute this with the credit bureaus?
