What is the name of your state? Michigan
I received a closure notice from Efax.com saying that my account would automatically close in two weeks if they could not obtain payment from my bank account. At the time, I didn't have any money to give them (you can't squeeze blood from a turnip) so I resigned myself to the fact that my Efax account would be closing. That was in November. Recently, I checked my bank statements and saw that Efax charged me in January, February, and March. I contacted them and they said that they continued to attempt to charge my account through November and December until January (when I finally got some money) and that they lifted the suspension once they got my money. I did not receive any notification that the suspension was lifted. To my knowledge, the account was still closed because in the notice I received, it said the account would automatically close. Is the company allowed to continue to charge an account even after they tell the consumer that the account is closing?
