minnesota:my employer deducted money from my paycheck for 2 bad checks he received for purchases made by customers in his store. i worked the night these purchases were made and my initials were not on the checks cashed therefore, my employer states i did not get proper identification and am liable for the bad checks. i never signed anything giving him permission to take money from my payroll check for bad checks. i contacted the labor board in minnesota and they told me he was in violation of minnesota statute 181.79. i informed my employer of this and he still refuses to reimburse me my wages. what should my next course of action be? i am a college student with very limited funds.
